in transition specialises in adapting their music to the target audience. As their singer Judith Estermann has been infected with the Lindy Hop virus for some time, it is high time for this band to finally start playing at a Lindy Hop Party. 'Very danceable and open minded' will be their motto and they are very much looking forward to the event. We also look forward to this very special permiere!

One Party, two halls, two styles of music and late-night blues!

The evening will start with a Non-Workshop Class: Crash’n’Go (8.15pm, Volkshaus Zurich, Blue Hall). Discover essentials about Lindy Hop and learn the basic steps. Feel the spirit of the twenties and dare to make your first steps on the dance floor with the follow-on party! No pre-knowledge needed.

With various DJs and A Touch of Swing: Flavia Vasella - vocals, Manfred Junker - guitar, Dani Solimine - guitar, Geri Zumbrunn, double bass from 10pm.

Swing on velvet paws: Who needs percussion if the swing is coming from right inside? The smooth sound of 'A Touch of Swing' is shaped by two guitars, a string bass and a warmly toned female voice. The repertoire of the band originates mostly from thirties and fourties America. However, A Touch of Swing are not afraid of sprinkling one or more Latin ryhthms or a hint of Italianità into their standards which are played Gypsy style. For this group, improvisation is never just an end in itself. The musicians produce a heartwarming sound without boring the audiance with excessive solos. A Touch of Swing is an outstanding Swing band with a voice which gets under your skin.

This party is hosted by Rahel and Adrian of Tea Time Swing. This finale party includes DJ and live music with Dani Solimine - guitar, Thomas Dürst - bass, Jürg Morgenthaler - sax and clarinet, Dave Ruosch - piano. Tardy Tea Time Swing for those who cannot get enough and like to let the weekend come to a classy ending.
